TWO HIT CREEPER Split Up
February 26, 2003Los Angeles-based TWO HIT CREEPER have officially split up. The group, whose most recent demos were produced by SOULFLY drummer Roy Mayorga, had originally caught the interest of ORGY frontman Jay Gordon, who wanted to issue the band's debut CD through his Division One imprint (a plan that was later abandoned). Guitarist Jim and vocalist Mike are planning on forming a new band that will that will lie "closer to LED ZEPPELIN or ALICE IN CHAINS than anything we have done in [TWO HIT CREEPER]," stated Mike. "Of course we will never sound like those bands but that is the general direction. With that direction, one in which we already have about 20 songs written, we are going to start an entirely new band with a new name and sound different from [TWO HIT CREEPER]. I apologize in advance to those who will be expecting something heavy from us — you are not going to get it here. The stuff will still be extremely intense, but not heavy like [TWO HIT CREEPER]. So, stay tuned as the info unfolds on this site about the new project. It will be very accessible, commercial and most of all musical and emotionally intense. In fact, most of these songs we started writing even before we ever thought of TWO HIT CREEPER."
